Bell Recognized for Rotary Leadership
|
Volunteer Michelle Bell has been a member of the Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club for three years and just recently became president. While her time serving the club varies depending on what events are coming up, she typically spends about 25 hours each month volunteering with the organization. Favorite memory with the club: One of Michelle’s first projects with the club involved furnishing an incentive room for children at the Jane Boyd Community House in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Remembering the day the room was opened for the children to use, she said, “There was nothing like the looks on those children’s faces when that door opened. It was amazing.” The finished room features a Wii gaming system, a pool table, musical instruments and other games for the children to enjoy. |
