On June 30, 2023, I plan to retire from my service responsible for our website/bulletin (The Wheel) and AV set up for speaker presentations. I have performed these functions for over 15 years and would like to spend more time visiting my grandson, traveling and it is just time to make a change. These tasks still need to be performed to support our Club and to enable communications for our Club members and the community. Jayne DeCoste has volunteered to take over The Wheel and Website both internal and external communications.

  • Many Thanks to Jayne DeCoste. The website/bulletin function is to update and email "The Wheel" each week with information the Club and/or community should know. With the help from Board Officers and Directors, activities upcoming or past are identified, and stories included. Including pictures always helps. The process is template driven all on-line and involves creating a new "Wheel" on the Wednesday after our Tuesday meeting to be scheduled to be sent out, per past practice, on Monday morning. Also new stories for the Wheel when appropriate, can update the Club website at the same time. It does not take much time. You try to stay up to date on Club activities.
  • Many thanks to Alex Chalk who has volunteered to provide speakers with resources to support their presentations involves arriving a little early to set up audio and visual equipment. We now keep the equipment on-site at Indian Creek. The equipment is not hard to set up and tear down. Speakers usually bring a flash drive or email their presentation in advance. It is always good to have several people who are able to set-up the projector to support a speaker if needed.
Of course, I am willing to instruct on the processes and could provide back-up when needed. I have enjoyed these tasks and have learned from performing them as well as staying engaged with Club activities. More than one person can assist in these activities. If you or someone you know would be willing to provide this service, I will support you as best I can as a member of our Club.  Any suggestions are also welcome.

Thank you for your support,
Erik
