Iowa RYLA Rotarian Visit Day – Experience Leadership in Action
Rotarians across District 5970 are invited to experience the impact of Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) firsthand at Rotarian Visit Day on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Grinnell College.
This special day offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of Rotary’s most inspiring youth programs. Nearly 200 high school students will be participating in the dynamic Shark Tank Experience, where they collaborate in teams to develop service projects to bring back to their communities. Throughout the day, students engage in leadership exercises, explore Rotary’s values, and present their ideas to a panel of judges.
Visiting Rotarians will have a unique opportunity to:
- Shadow a Team Lead and observe the program from the inside
- Watch leadership development in action
- Participate in portions of the Shark Tank Experience
- Serve as subject matter experts during student presentations
- Connect with the Iowa RYLA leadership team
Two convenient check-in options are available (8:00 a.m. or 9:30 a.m.), with activities concluding at approximately 4:00 p.m. Lunch is available on campus for $14, with off-campus options also nearby.
