Tuesday, October 7, our speaker will be Jeff Kueter, President and CEO of the University of Iowa Alumni Association.

Remember our meeting on October 14 will be at the Linn County Regional Center in Hiawatha instead of The Longbranch.  Our meal willl be a sandwich type box lunch (similar to what was provided at the Marion Police Department).  The lunches are catered and must be per-ordered so it is important to have an accurate count of attendees.  Please be sure to sign-up in advance.

Be sure to get your tickets for the Foundation event on October 23.  The funds raised will help reach our Rotary goal of eliminating Polio.  World Polio Day is October 24 so the timing is pefect and with Sarah Hughes and Michelle Bell's planning, it will be wonderful.  This is bound to be an event no one should miss.

Sign up will be starting for Salvation Army Bell Ringing.  Don Zierath has lined up November 20 from 10-8 at Collins Road Hy-Vee and December 6 from 10-8 at Marion Hy-Vee for our club to provide this service.  Please look at your calendars and determine time you would be available to stand on carpet squares provided by Jeff Selfridge (helps keep those toes warm) and get into the holiday spirit.  It is a fun time and because we do it with a fellow member, we get to know one another better.  This is a great opportunity to get meeting make-up credit as well.
