At the Marion-East Cedar Rapids 8/2/25 Rotary meeting, members welcomed John Albert, a longtime Cedar Rapids entrepreneur and current mentor with SCORE East Central Iowa. Drawing from his extensive experience running several family-owned businesses—including Albert’s Cleaners, Citywide Cleaners, and Prince Albert Tuxedo—John offered reflections on the entrepreneurial journey.
John shared insights from his decades in small business leadership, touching on themes such as navigating change, building sustainable operations, and planning for succession. His current work with SCORE continues to support local business owners and startups through mentorship and strategic guidance.
Members appreciated the opportunity to hear from someone with deep ties to the community and a wealth of practical experience. The program was especially relevant for those interested in entrepreneurship, business development, and community-based economic growth.
