Don McDonald spoke about the Trivia Contest hosted by The Rotary Club of Ventura-South to benefit the literacy program put on by the Ventura County Library.
President Harriet asked for volunteers and got enough people to make two teams.

Midge Stork announced that our raffle prize was a $50 gift card to Cafe Fiore.

Bill Spellman announced that all of our spots for RYLA have been filled.
Greg Frye spoke about Poinsettia orders.
Joe Strohman said that the Military Collaborative is in need of a new space. If you know of any vacancies, please let Joe know. Joe also let us know that Tom Hashbarger is working on a program to honor our military veteran's. Joe's last announcement was that Margarida would be honoring Hector with an Employee of the Quarter award next week.
President Harriet passed around a sign up sheet for Nightmare on the Hill work duties.
President Harriet was also passing around a condolences card for Lee Albee who passed away last week. Lee was a very long time member of our club.
The trivia contest at Garman's Pub was a lot of fun and 2 of our 3 team's won prizes!!! The team of President Harriet, Bob Pazen and Rich Stewart came in second and the team of Wendy Pazen, Dave Anderson, Colin Hoag and Dick and Mary Gallagher came in 3rd.
The District survey is out, please answer it. It's only 1 question so it won't take long to complete.
The catering committee being led by Carolyn Diacos has 4 bids. There will be a committee meeting after our club meeting today. Tastings from 2 caterers have been arranged and a decision will be reached soon.
