Tim Hughes gave our Inspirational Message followed by the joke of the day given by Alison Thompson.
 
President Bruce introduced guests and visiting Rotarians.
Visiting from Ventura Downtown was Hutch. Guests of Bob Pazen were Martha Duran & Lucy Perez.
 
President Bruce asked who invited last weeks speaker Barry Fisher. Jeff Hata said he did and President Bruce asked that we follow up and invite Barry Fisher back as a potential member.
 
President Bruce said that our membership goal is to get to 65 members. We started the year at 44 members and have added 3 new members so far this year. We have lots of room to grow so please invite potential Rotarians to come check us out.
 
Dave Anderson conducted nominations for the Rotary year 2016-2017. For our two director at large seats, Daryl Cruser, Tom Swan, Kathy McGee, Jeff Berg & Vance Thompson have been nominated. Dave Anderson told us we are still looking for a P.E.N.
 
Community Service, Rich Stewart, spoke about the Atlas School tutoring program. Last week Alison Thompson and Wendy Pazen helped out and next week will be Carol Marquez-Olson. If you would like to help out, contact Rich.
 
Rich Stewart also got volunteers for Salvation Army Bell Ringing on November 28th. Rich also reminded us about the Christmas Party at the Rubicon Theater on December 12th from 5:30 - 7:45. If you want to go to the show afterwards let Rich know ASAP.
 
Judy Hoag let us know that there will not be any pink or white poinsettia's this year. It's not too late to get order in so keep selling. The deadline is November 25th.
 
Rotaracts Children's Christmas Party at the City Center is on December 7th. Kathy McGee is working on buying $800 worth of gifts. If anyone wants to help Kathy spend money, please step forward and let Kathy know. We have 5 children to shop for.
 
We have $100 left over from the gifts donations so President Bruce asked for the Club's permission to donate it to Rotaract for the Can Tree event on December 5th.
 
President Bruce asked questions from the last edition of the Rotarian about the drought. It is very apparent that we need to read the Rotarian!!!
 
John Borneman led us in a song followed by the raffle drawing...our lucky winner was Carol Marquez-Olson.
