Tom Swan led us in the Salute to the Flag.

Visiting Rotarians today were P.D.G. Jane McClennahan, President of Ventura Downtown Mario de la Piedra and from the Rotary Club of Santa Paula Pam Lindsay.

Guest of Bill Crookston was Kelly Hatten, Principal from Blanche Reynolds School.

Husam Hishmeh donated our raffle prize today which was $50 in cash to the winner and a donation of $50 to the club foundation in the winner's name.

John Borneman led us in a song.

President Bruce invited Kelly Hatten to speak about what's going on at Blanche Reynolds. The enrollment at Blanche Reynolds is about 500 kids K - 5. Enrollment has been decreasing of the last few years.

At Blanche Reynolds they are currently putting together an effort to redo the library. They have many books which are over 40 years old and is in a very small room. The goal of the library project is to move it into a bigger room and resupply the books that are available. They also would like to put in some electronics and furniture.

Tim Hughes asked to put together a project team to review the project with Kelly and see if there was anything we could do to assist.

Joe Strohman needs two more Student of the Quarter sponsors and the 4 Way Test Essay team is reading through the essays.

Jeff Hata spoke about the YMCA's Victory Dinner. Over the 6 week period of campaign the goal was to raise $170,000 and the campaigner's raised $184,000! Operation Splash is part of campaign and the presentation of our check was very well received.

Jordan Eller spoke about scholarships. The applications are out and Jordan will be looking for volunteers to help with the process in May.

President Bruce spoke about the St. Patrick's Day parade which was Saturday. Jim Emch is helping Pete Gallagher with the organization this year. Check in for the parade starts at 8:00 and the parade starts at 10:00.

Rich Stewart needs tutors for Atlas School, people to attend the parade and ambassadors for the City's 150th anniversary.

Tom Swan spoke about the City Center clean-up which will be March 19th from 8:00 - 3:00.

Harriet Clune encouraged everyone to go see the current production at the Rubicon Theater. Harriet said it's one of the best she's seen!!!

President Bruce thanked the presidents who stood in for him the past two weeks. Part of his absence was for work but the other part was a hike through the Grand Canyon that they had to cancel last year because of Kathy's accident. It was a great trip!

Midge Stork conducted the raffle and our lucky winner was President Bruce. President Bruce donated the $50 he won to the Foundation so the Foundation was $100 richer today!!!
