President Bruce thanked Daryl Cruzer for greeting today. 
 
Sam Marsh then gave our joke of the day followed by another joke from Jordan Eller.
 
President Bruce asked Daryl Cruzer what was new? Daryl said that he got a job!!!
 
President Bruce then welcomed two guests, Jeff Burgh & Ron Polito! Also visitng today was guest of Tom Swan, Ariel Burch and guest of Judy Hoag was Adam Laut.

Celebrating a birthday in January is Jim Emch.
 
President Bruce reported that he has asked Jason Ribibo to give a recap on what's happening in the stock market the last two weeks and for some reason Jason has missed.
 
Husam Hishmeh announced that Downtown is holding a social at Himalaya Restaurant next Thursday at 6:00. We are also planning on doing a joint meeting with South on the 29th of February.
 
Kathy McGee is working on a social to see the play Bill Spellman is starring in on January 20th.
 
Husam Hishmeh also reported that he attended the Rotary Peace Conference and was very impressed. Husam said that the easiest way to get peace in the world is for everyone to gain inner peace. Sharon Stone was a key note speaker at the conference and is involved in quite a few peace related projects.
 
President Bruce asked how many people have visited the club FaceBook page recently. Sadly not many people raised their hands.
 
Bill Spellman reported that Interact is still working on their project with the special needs students. Also, in addition to Jason Ribibo, Jeff Burgh as expressed an interest in working with the Interact students.
 
Joe Strohman reported that John Masterson has nominated an employee from CMH for our next employee of the quarter. Joe also said that our next student of the quarter will be next month and that Carolyn Hertel has donated $1,000 for the 4-Way Test essay contest. Ken Kagan is working on setting up a 4 Way Test essay contest at Foothill.
 
Joe Strohman also announced that the Club's Foundation needs to elect 2 new board members. If you are interested in sitting on the Foundation board, let Joe know.
 
Ron Polito reported that the Foundation is at $1,600,000 in the Morgan Stanley account and $350,000 in the Schwab account.
 
President Bruce spoke about Rotary Peace Scholarships and that nominations are now being taken. This month's Rotarian has many articles about what Peace Scholarships have accomplished after graduation.
 
Tom Swan said that Rotaract is having their board meeting at Domino's on Petit Thursday, January 28th at 6:30pm.
