Tom Swan led us in the Flag Salute.
 
Our Inspirational Message was delivered by John Borneman.
 
Tom Swan introduced guests and visiting Rotarians.
Guests of our speaker were Bonnie Landau, Deborah Morris and Julia Dominguez.
 
President Jeff thanked our greeters Ken Kagan and Christina Ahn & Todd Juvonen for taking attendance.
 
Midge Stork announced that our raffle prize was a gift card to Panera Bread donated by Tom Swan.
 
John Borneman led us in a song.
 
Presidents announcements:
  • Ventura Chamber Taste Event August 30th. We need to sell a minimum of 40 tickets at $25/ticket. That’s $15 off the member price. We will in turn be given a “Gold” level sponsorship with all the benefits that go with it.
  • District Conference October 5 – 6 
  • Nightmare on the Hill October 20th.
  • Sip & See's are intended do be socials for the club. If you don't have an interest in the project, please come out and socialize with us. Let's all get to know each other better. Also, bring your spouse or significant other because we would like to get to know them better too. Also, it's important for our families to learn more about us and learn why Rotary is important to us.
Avenues of Service:
Tom Swan paid an advertising fee and announced a Social Security Workshop that he is holding.
 
Bruce McGee announced that he would be getting his first Social Security payout the end of the month.
 
Ashley Pope spoke about the NAMI Walk and asked for support of our NAMI Walks Team.
 
Happy $'s: Alison Thompson, Ashley Pope, Midge Stork, Harriet Clune, Vance Thompson. President Jeff presented our club foundation with $20 donated at the last Sip & See.
 
Midge Stork conducted the raffle and our lucky winner was Tim Hughes.
