Rich Stewart stood in for President Harriet today. President Harriet was not feeling well today.
 
Bill Gray led us in the Flag Salute.
 
Tom Swan introduced guests and visiting Rotarians.
 
Guest of the club was Roy Valdez, guest of Tom Swan was Eric Jones and guest of Sharon Daly was Wendy Gray.
 
President Harriet thanked Carol Marquez-Olson for greeting and Todd Juvonen for taking attendance.
 
Midge Stork told us that the raffle prize was a $50 gift card to Snapper Jacks generously donated by Jeff Burgh.
 
Ken Kagan gave our joke of the day followed by our song of the day by John Borneman.
 
Kris Hansen reminded us that inviting potential new members is important to the health of our club and urged everyone to bring a guest and share what we all are enjoying.
 
Bruce McGee gave a list of members who are eligible to give Paul Harris Fellows. If you want to give a Paul Harris, please let Bruce know so we can award them at the Step Down Dinner.
 
Jeff Hata said that the Board Retreat will be on May 19th from 10:00 - 1:00 followed by a social from 1:00 - 4:00. Also, thank you to Tom Swan for arranging the shredding day. Thanks to Tom's efforts we raised $615 for the club.
 
Michelle Cekov spoke about the social unrest going on in Nicaragua. The President reversed the reforms he instated, but there still has not been any resolution. All of our GoCare people are OK and the learning centers are functioning on modified schedules. There are 500 students at the Polytechnic University that are holed up and refuse to leave until the President resigns.

Members of the club read letters from our RYLA attendees thanking the club for the opportunity to attend RYLA.

Midge Stork said that we raise about $4,000 with the Opportunity Drawing each year. Midge then conducted the raffle and our lucky winner was Bill Hicks!
