Trevor Horzelenberg – Director, LRT Project Coordination

Trevor Horzelenberg is both a Professional Planner and a Certified Engineering Technologist.  He has been working for the City since 2000 and has had the privilege of being positioned within both the Planning and Economic Development Department and the Public Works Departments over the course of his career.  Trevor has worked in Traffic Engineering, Development Planning, Transportation Demand Management, Transit/Rapid Transit, and has been the Manager of the City’s Light Rail Transit technical team since 2016. Having been part of the original Rapid Transit Team (2009-2011), Trevor has extensive background knowledge of the City’s strategic direction with respect to Light Rail Transit.

Trevor is a leader who walks the talk on sustainable mobility. He can often be seen riding the Hamilton Street Railway (local transit) or a SoBi (bike share) bike to work.  As a born and bred Hamiltonian, he is very passionate about contributing to Hamilton’s ongoing revitalization.
