Mark Daniel Maloney served as President of Rotary International in 2019-2020 and successfully lead the organization through the early stages of the global pandemic by encouraging clubs to shift to virtual meetings and provide support for health care workers, communities in need, and the people most susceptible to the pandemic’s reach. Because travel was drastically impacted, Maloney suspended his worldwide schedule of visits. One such canceled visit was to Rome, Italy. Two and a half years later, they recreated the festivities originally planned for Mark and Gay’s visit. Our club’s President Elect, Bruce Belfiore and wife Gloria Cavallero, longtime friends of Mark and Gay, joined the Maloneys in Italy for the celebration!
