Santa Barbara and Beyond

Mike Eliason, a graduate of Allan Hancock College Fire Academy, has worked in the fire service for 18 years.  Eliason began as a Reserve Firefighter with the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Department before becoming the Santa Barbara County Fire Department’s Public Education & an Information Officer.  

Eliason’s images have been used around the world during his 34 years of taking photos for various media agencies, including the National Football League, and taught Photojournalism at Santa Barbara City College for a decade.  

His first book, “Santa Barbara And Beyond” is available now a bookstores and other locations on the South Coast.
