Our project is now complete! Two primary schools in Cuajachillo 2 in Nicaragua now have new covered cafeteria patio areas, tables and benches.
This project is a partnership with the Rotary Club of Ciudad Sandino. Funding was provided by the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise Charitable Foundation and a grant from Rotary District 5240. Tom Heath is the project manager.

How do you find out when the Rotary club meets in Toowoomba, Pondicherry or Recklinghausen? Simply turn to the Official Directory of Rotary International. The approximately 1,100*-page annual publication is filled with current information about Rotarians and Rotary clubs. The meeting day, time and location of everyone of the more than 35,000* clubs is listed. From the Rotary Club of Aabenraa, Denmark, to Zwolle, Netherlands, the Official Directory provides the name and address of each club president and secretary, as well as the number of club members and charter date.
The Official Directory also records a wealth of information about the more than 525 Rotary districts, as well as the composition and purpose of all official Rotary committees. Included are names and addresses of the current RI Board of Directors and all previous boards. There is a list of all past RI presidents with a review of their themes. An excellent directory of hotels around the world is an added feature. It is a perfect guidebook for making Rotary contacts when you travel.

ROTARY PIN CHALLENGE - Week 22
This week our Rotary Exchange Student, Blessed Emurese, moves from Judith and Paul McCaffrey's home to ours. Chris and I are looking forward to welcoming Blessed to our home. My pin this week is the Nigerian flag. Blessed made these pins to trade at the District Conference. She tells me the green and white stripes in the flag represent nature and peace.
I have challenged myself to wear my Rotary pin EVERY day. By doing this I hope to raise awareness of Rotary and Rotary's work. I invite all Sunrise Rotarians to join me in wearing a Rotary pin EVERY day.
