Disaster relief for Venezuelan communities following devastating earthquakes.
On June 24, a powerful earthquake struck Venezuela, leaving communities with significant damage and urgent humanitarian needs. Families have been displaced, homes and infrastructure have been damaged, and access to food, medical care, and shelter remains a critical concern in many affected areas.
In response, the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise is in the process of sending a $1,000 donation through its International Service Committee to support disaster relief efforts.
The club's contribution will be directed to the Rotary Districts in Venezuela, where local Rotary members are actively coordinating relief efforts and responding to the most immediate needs. Working with trusted partners on the ground, they are providing emergency assistance, including food, medical supplies, shelter, and other essential resources for affected communities.
