Sunrise Rotarians bright eyed and bushy tailed before hundreds of voters flood the polling site.

Sunrise volunteers reported for duty well before sunrise at the UCSB Santa Catalina Dorm polling site on Election Day. Volunteers participated in online and in-person training. Kirk Greene received additional training and served as an Election Inspector; Liz Alves, Jann Greene, Graham Sharpe and Karen Kawaguchi were Election Officers. Turnout was greater than expected so we ran out of ballots and envelopes. We served mostly first-time voters--all excited about exercising their new right to be part of our democracy. Sunrisers will be donating their wages to the club's foundation. A huge thank you to our entire team for putting in a very long day, another great example of Service Above Self!
