The Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise is pleased to provide a grant to Unity Shoppe in support of its Senior Gift Program, helping bring comfort, joy, and a meaningful sense of connection to seniors throughout Santa Barbara County.
Unity Shoppe’s Senior Gift Program brings comfort, joy, and connection to seniors throughout Santa Barbara County, with a special focus on those who are homebound, living with disabilities, isolated, or experiencing financial hardship.
Each year, Unity Shoppe provides personalized gifts to seniors during the holidays and on their birthdays, distributing more than 3,000 gifts annually. Through individual request forms, seniors can share their needs and preferences, allowing each gift to be thoughtfully selected and prepared with care.
Gifts may include pajamas, toiletries, personal care items, and other requested essentials. Staff, senior volunteers, and community partners work together to secure donations, assemble packages, and wrap each gift with love.
For many seniors, receiving a personalized gift means far more than the items inside. It is a reminder that they are remembered, valued, and cared for by their community. Through this program, Unity Shoppe helps bring dignity, compassion, and a meaningful sense of connection to seniors who might otherwise feel forgotten.
