Rotary Global Grant supported Camp Whittier Peacetime Adventures Camp.
Approximately 60 campers ages 10-12 from local chapters of the Boys & Girls Club attended Rotary Peacetime Adventures Camp held at Camp Whittier. During the camp, each camper participated in 4 group sessions with counselors from Child Abuse Listening Mediation (CALM). A parent group is meeting with CALM counselors after the camp to reinforce what the children learned.
This project was funded by the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise Charitable Foundation and a Global Grant from The Rotary Foundation.
