Dear Sunrise Rotarians!
What a great meeting and program this morning! David Gore, District 5240 Foundation Chair gave a very informative and enthusiastic program on the Rotary Foundation (TRF). TRF funds some amazing projects all over the world and provides matching funds for our global grants. Unfortunately, our Club's giving totals to the Sunrise Club Foundation and the Rotary Foundation combined have decreased 22% or $3,450 less than last year at this same time. We still have time until the end of June to bring these donations up!
Our Club goal is that every Sunrise Rotarian will give a donation every year. Currently, we have 16 members that have yet to donate. Let's have this be the year of 100% giving to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund and to the SB Sunrise Charitable Foundation. If you haven't given already, I ask that you make your donation before 5/31/2023 to count in this Rotary Year. Please be as generous as possible; no amount is too small. Our club gets credit toward 100% status for TRF donations if you give at least $25. If you're already given, but are motivated and able to give again, thank you. All will be put to good work.
We inducted our newest member, a returning Sunrise Member, Liz Alves this morning! So happy to have you back Liz! We’ve inducted 7 new members to date. My goal for this year was 10 new members! Let's give a big push to bring in three more members before the end of the year! We can do it! I encourage you to continue bringing guests to our meetings! Share Rotary! It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give!
