President Ellen reflects on another busy month of service and fellowship.

October was another busy month! We had a great talk about media literacy to help us sift through the barrage of election data that comes at us. Then a wonderful offsite meeting at the Carriage Museum. Joanne told us what it was like to be first female president.

The month started with a fun event at Unity Shoppe where we applied Rotary stickers to the helmets we provided Unity Shoppe. These will be handed out with the bikes and skateboards that are given away during the holidays. Pups and Pints walk for Ending Polio awareness was a small but mighty group that headed from the Granada to Institution Ale. And the Halloween Happy Hour is going on as I write this.

Several of us attended the district conference in San Luis Obispo. It is always great to connect with friends from other clubs and share what everyone is doing. Scott gave a great talk on the RAG-Drug Addiction and Prevention program. Several other clubs showed interest in learning more and joining the cause.

There’s even more in store for the coming month . . .

Don’t forget to turn your clock back and enjoy an extra hour of R&R.

Yours in Service,
Ellen
