President Ellen invites us to make a difference this holiday season.
Happy Holiday!
This is a time of year where our Rotary values really shine through. There are so many opportunities to make the holidays better for those in need in our local community. Team Rotary identified a number of volunteer opportunities the first weekend of December – helping the downtown tree lighting event, supporting time with Santa at Camp Whittier and ushering for the Gracie Fisher Foundation Gala at the Granada. Please check the google sign up for the McPhillips Memorial Salvation Army Bell ringing. (Members who have been with the club for a while can share stories about Bob with newer members.) Unity Shoppe is always looking for elves to help stock the shelves and there are Toys-For-Tots boxes all over town to accept an unwrapped gift. Whatever you do, wear your Rotary pin(s) and SWAG, to show our face in the community and know that you have made a difference.
I look forward to celebrating the season with everyone on December 11 at Harry’s Plaza Café.
May the holiday season bring you together with family friends to celebrate old memories and build new ones.
President Ellen
