22 kids and 10 Rotarians participated in the College & Career Bound Program mock interviews.

Rotarians from Santa Barbara and Goleta participated in the United Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County’s College & Career Bound Program Mock Interviews. The workshop was a resounding success! We had 10 Rotarians and 22 kids.

The session provided a valuable opportunity for our members to engage in simulated job interviews, helping them prepare for real-world career opportunities.

During the mock interviews, members practiced responding to common interview questions, allowing them to build confidence and gain essential experience in a supportive environment. Feedback from Rotarians, who represented various professional fields, offered constructive insights that will help participants refine their interview skills and personal presentation.

This event is particularly important in an era dominated by technology, texting, and social media, as it gives members the chance to practice face-to-face communication and build vital interpersonal skills that are crucial for professional success. By providing such opportunities, we are helping our members make a smooth transition from academic to professional life and boosting their confidence as they prepare for their future careers.

Key Benefits of the Mock Interview Session:
• Enhanced confidence through real-world practice
• Constructive feedback from experienced professionals
• Improved communication and interview skills
• A head start on future career paths

The event was an important step in helping our youth gain the skills they need for future success in both their careers and personal interactions. The United Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County looks forward to providing more opportunities like this in the future!
