Our Rotary Youth Exchange student Risa enjoyed a memorable holiday season!
Risa joined fellow Rotary Youth Exchange students from around the world in decorating the Rotary International Rose Parade Float in Pasadena (be sure to watch the parade on January 1 and see the finished float) and also volunteered locally at the Grace Fisher Foundation Winter Showcase, supporting a beloved community event that highlights young performers.
She celebrated the holiday season with fellow Sunrise Rotarians at Harry’s Plaza Cafe then traveled to Texas with her host family to spend Christmas with their extended family. While there she visited the state capitol in Austin, River Walk in San Antonio, and even got a lasso on the first try in Luckenbach.
We are proud of Risa for diving into experiences that reflect the spirit of the Rotary Youth Exchange program!
