New program, Inclusive Music & Art for Toddlers, supported by Sunrise Rotary grant.
The Community Service Committee awarded a $2,500 grant through the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise Charitable Foundation to support The Grace Fisher Foundation. This grant will help fund the launch of a new program, "Inclusive Music & Art for Toddlers," at the Inclusive Arts Clubhouse at La Cumbre Plaza. This initiative will offer free classes for both typical and atypical children, aimed at integrating children of all abilities into one enriching experience.
The new program will focus on disability awareness and provide 30 minutes each of music and art activities, taught by professional music and art instructors. The goal is to offer children, ages 1-5, an opportunity to explore the arts in a supportive, inclusive environment.
The funds will support a weekly class over 20 weeks, ensuring that low-income families, particularly those with children with disabilities, have access to creative educational resources they might otherwise lack.
