Why are you a member of Rotary?

Why are you a member of Rotary? For a lot of people, the answer is you want to help others or build friendships. But why is this important to you? That’s largely a personal question, and every person’s story is unique.

The “Each One, Bring One” campaign by 2021-22 Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta encourages every Rotarian to get non-Rotarians to visit us, learn more about us, and maybe even become a member or otherwise involved with Rotary. Shekhar encourages us to talk about Rotary with our friends, family, coworkers, anyone! Invite them to one of our meetings, or even bring them to one of our community service opportunities or social events.

Each One, Bring One is a great reminder that the responsibility to grow Rotary belongs with every member, every day. When we grow our Rotary Club and add new members, we can achieve more. We can boost the impact of our projects, expand our reach, enhance participant engagement as well as increase the awareness and understanding of Rotary in our communities.

Each of us was given an extraordinary gift when we were proposed for membership in Rotary. We all have an opportunity to share that gift with other qualified individuals who can benefit from Rotary, and help Rotary increase its impact.

I challenge you to invite someone to Sunrise Rotary with the goal of sponsoring one new qualified member between now and 30 June 2023!
