Donation to ShelterBox USA for the Turkey-Syria Disaster Relief Fund
At the club's May 3rd meeting, a check for $4,000 was presented to Kerri Murray, the President of ShelterBox USA, to provide supplies and assistance to people impacted by the February 6th earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Kerri told us that relief is ongoing in the area and will continue for a long time. The funds were allocated from the Disaster Relief fund within the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise Charitable Foundation and were more than matched by club members and friends. We are blessed to have so many generous members, former members and friends and thank them so much for their donations.
