Colorific: The Science of Color in Architecture

I have loved color for as long as I can remember, and I've been lucky enough to have color be an integral part of my professional life for decades. I am in awe of the tremendous power color has to change us physically and emotionally. Even when we’re not aware of color in our environment, it has the ability to influence our behavior. (Just look up Drunk Tank Pink by Adam Alter.)

 

After a 20-year career as a graphic designer, art director and color expert in the 2D world of graphic design, advertising and marketing – I switched gears to apply color in the 3D world of architecture by opening the doors of my colorific studio in 2013.

 

I have had the good fortune to have lived in Manhattan, London, Portland, Pasadena and now coastal California – so i believe my "world view" is bigger than one place, or one trend. And with my innate, heightened sense of color honed through years of study and experience, I provide a level of expertise in the functional and aesthetic application of color for my clients – making it possible for them to update their space with colors that speak to them, and assisting them in creating a place of harmony and balance that is unique to them.
