Smart CPR

Specialized Medical Aid Response Team, better known as SMART, has been providing medical skills training and certifications to residents of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties since 2010.  We participate in disaster awareness and preparedness training for the community in collaboration with government agencies.  We also work within the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system as an additional medical resource.

SMART provides Medical Standby support at numerous community events, including the Goleta, Santa Barbara and Carpinteria Triathlons, the Avocado Festival, Rods & Roses and Ojai Days.  Our Medical Standby includes a staffed Medical Tent as well as Foot, Bike and Vehicle Patrols.

Our clients include Healthcare Providers, Businesses, Families and Babysitters; Nonprofits, Churches and Synagogues and Community Organizations. SMART offers training courses for Wilderness groups, as well as youth groups such as sports teams, Boy and Girl Scouts, and more.

But the HEART of our business is TRAINING . . . we offer courses taught by American Heart Association (AHA) and Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI) Certified Instructors. Our clients include Healthcare Providers, businesses, families, nonprofits and community organizations.

SMART COMES TO YOU!  With a class scheduled for a minimum of four students, we will come to your location to train and certify your group. We provide all the necessary equipment, including Manikins, Training AEDs, all First Aid supplies and student workbooks. After successful completion of the course, all students will receive a Certification card.
