Team Rotary: Alliance for Community Media Conferen

The Alliance for Community Media Conference (ACM West) is coming to Santa Barbara and is looking for volunteers on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 to help people check in and register at the Mar Monte hotel.  

TV Santa Barbara, will be the host nonprofit organization and needs to fill four, two-hour shifts with two people each from 10am to 6pm and is hoping that Rotary volunteers would be interested in this unique opportunity.  People from nonprofit media centers thoughout 6 western states will be represented.  AZ, CA, CO, HI, NV and NM.

The shifts are Wednesday, February 22
10 am – noon - (2 people)

Noon – 2 pm - (2 people)

2 pm – 4 pm - (2 people)

4 pm – 6 pm  -(2 people)

The duties would be general registration duties like check-in, name badges, information and handing out swag bags. Each volunteer would also be invited to the “Welcome to Santa Barbara” reception across the street at the Cabrillo Pavilion which goes from 6pm – 9pm.

Supporting this event is a great opportunity for the club to make a connection with TV Santa Barbara in hopes of promoting the Dolphin Dive Festival in July.  Contact me (sbmesasailor@gmail.com) or Erik (erik@tvsb.tv) if you can help out.  Let's fill up these shifts and then we can all attend the reception together.
