Hello TEAM ROTARY,

Our club is partnering with SB Urban Creeks Council to perform a very import task before the winter rains hit.  Creek outfalls are clogged with small palms and something called tree tobacco (along with whatever trash has accumulated).

The SBUCC is very sensitive to the fact that SB is currently PURPLE.  They have provided me with the following policies they intend to strictly follow:
Working outdoors in a large open space allows us to conduct safe activities, such as cleaning up the creeks and beaches.
•       Groups of 10 people or less.  If more than 10, we will break up into smaller groups.
•       Everyone wears a mask, and gloves.  Each person brings their own mask. latex gloves will be provided.
•       People must stay at least 6 feet apart – with physical exertion, use greater distance and stay down-wind of others.
•       Bring your own water.
•       Use sanitizer and mask and gloves as needed.
•       Don’t touch face.
•       Waiver forms will include info to facilitate contact tracing if necessary for any reason.

I have attached the waiver form and it needs to be completed by anyone who participates.  The completed waiver is to be brought to the event and will be collected by SBUCC personnel.  There will be others from the SBUCC in addition to us, so we will have supervision.

They've asked us to bring shovels and pitchforks if we have them.  The meeting site is behind the Chase Palm Park Center, 236 E. Cabrillo Blvd (by the bike path bridge over Laguna Channel, to the rear of the Chase Palm Park Center -ocean side of Cabrillo Blvd.).

I need to tell them how many of us will participate, so please let me know if you will be there.  Be sure to wear your Rotary garb if you have some.

Looking forward to seeing some of you.

Dennis
