Salvation Army Red Kettle - Cancelled

It is that time of year when Sunrise volunteers stand the kettle for the local Salvation Army this holiday season.

Bob McPhillips is asking for volunteers to sign up for a 1- or 2-hour time shift. Wear Rotary gear or holiday accessories (or both). Ring the bell. Thank donors for their gift. Extra points earned if you bring a dog, play music, or wear something silly.

You must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Dates: Saturdays, November 28, December 5, December 12, and December 19.

Shifts: 10am-12pm, 12-2pm, 2-4pm, 4-5pm.

Location: Paseo Nuevo (outside the former Nordstrom on Canon Perdido St.)

BONUS: Each of the first 15 members that volunteer to stand the kettle will receive the gift of a new holiday mask as an appreciation for their voluntary service.
