Camp Whittier Family Day and Pub Trivia Contest

Camp Whittier will be open for all Group 8 members and their families to come and enjoy all the amenities the camp has to offer for free!

Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served for lunch, the pool, zip line and ropes courses will be open, as well as hiking trails and archery. 

Additionally, there will be a Pub Trivia competition between all Group 8 clubs.

PUB TRIVIA RULES:

1 team of 4 per Rotary Club in Group 8. 

Teams must consist of 4 current Rotarians from each club.

Teams must consist of 2 male and 2 female participants.

We will do this game “old-school” no cell phones allowed and all answers need to be written down.

There will be one club recognized as the Group 8 Pub Trivia champion. This will qualify the team for the Pub Trivia event hosted by the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara in March of 2023 (Exact date, time and location TBD).

From Michael Baker, CEO of United Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County and President of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara, says, This is a thank you event from our organization to all the Rotary Clubs in Group 8 for helping us to rebuild the Camp after the Whittier Fire in 2017. We will have all the camp amenities open and Rotarians are encouraged to bring their families to enjoy the ropes course, zip line, pool, nature walks, archery, arts and crafts, soccer and so much more. Lunch will be provided at noon for everyone. At noon we will also conduct the Pub Trivia Challenge between all the clubs in Group 8. This will be a battle of knowledge between all the clubs in Group 8.”
