Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North Charitable Foundation
HistoryEarly members of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North had a hope and goal of forming a club charitable foundation. This became reality in 1986 with a modest bequest from club member Al Demarest. Over time, those assets appreciated in value and became the cornerstone for the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North Charitable Foundation (RCSBNF). The RCSBN Foundation's two main objectives are to address glaring needs in the local community and to support worthwhile nonprofit agencies in which Rotary club members are directly involved. RCSBNF is fully qualified as a charitable foundation under 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation Board is composed of members elected for two-year terms. All board members are caring, competent executives who donate their services and time, assuring that operating and administrative costs are minimal and that the dollars going into the Foundation's hands are put to work where they are needed. |
