Serving dinner at 40 Prado February 18 was a great success! One hundred twenty five homeless people enjoyed a warm dinner and Rotarians had fun working together!

The following Rotarians provided food and/or served homeless people a dinner of lasagna, salad, rolls, bananas, oranges, cookies and milk: John Wallace, Leslie McKinley, Jeff Pirolo, Chris Gardner, Jennifer Rhymes, Brooke Salvini (wife of John), Jan Marx, Sandra Duerr. Other volunteers Orlando, a Cal Poly architecture student and Jay Hieatt, local attorney also helped out.

Passing the "hat" on February 6, the club donated $237. Of that, $199 was reimbursed to purchasers of lasagna, milk and rolls. Providers of cookies, salad and fruit did not want reimbursement. I estimate that, if they had, that would have added another $100, making a total of $300 needed to provide dinner.

So, do we want to do this again March 18? Do you think members would donate $300 to make this happen?  Please let Jan Marx know. If you would like to provide food or serve March 18, please sign up right away.
