Our speaker, Kyle Rowland, did a great job of explaining the ongoing Los Osos Valley Road exchange project. Not quite as impressive as the "Carmegeddon" guy, but only because LOVR has one-billionth less traffic on an average day. I for one am excited to see the project move forward. It's been a big few years for those of us who live in Los Osos - first we'll be able to flush our toilets into pipes in the street, and next we'll be able to get to Tank Farm Road in under 45 minutes. Also, there will be an improved connection to the Bob Jones' trail for bikes and walkers - hooray for that too.

Bill Hererras needs some additional volunteers for the 4H judging this weekend. You don't actually judge livestock, which was disappointing to me personally, but you do get to meet some amazing kids making presentations of all kinds. Contact Bill or register to help if you're available.

Donna Lewis finalized our raffle ticket sale and is now going to sample the finest BBQ that the SLOFD has to offer for 12. Thanks for concluding the raffle ticket sales Donna, and thank you Gay and the rest for all the work that went into the sale.
