September to June each year the Rotary Club of Ojai West honors a student from Nordhoff High School who has been nominated by a Nordhoff teacher as Student of the Month. Todd Robison teaches Directed Studies and English at Nordhoff and he nominated his student senior Ashley Best as September Student of the Month.
"(Ashley)...has earned the title of Vice President in my class in years past...she is polite, respectful, intelligent, caring....consistently cheerful and positive, a leader among her peers."
Ashley took home a $250 check from Rotary Ojai West and was given a standing ovation at the club's morning meeting.
