ROTARY CLUB OF OJAI WEST JANUARY STUDENT OF THE MONTH JARED SKAGGS

The January Student of the Month award was given to Nordhoff Senior Jared Skaggs by the Rotary Club of Ojai West. Graphic Arts teacher Michael Swank wanted to honor Jared as a good citizen because during the recent rains Michael had a blown out tire while riding his motorcycle in Meiners Oaks and Jared stopped to help by going back home to get a trailer and loading the bike onto it and taking it to Ventura for repair. He then took Michael to rent a car so he could continue his day. Jared has played varsity football and baseball for the last three years and he is interested in either pursuing Graphic Arts or joining the Air Force after graduation this year.
