Rotary Club of Ojai West member Dr. Jim Halverson presented Nordhoff Junior Bailey Thompson with the December Student of the Month award. Bailey was nominated by Dave Settem who teaches math and PE and coaches the Nordhoff cross country team. Settem noted that Bailey is a sports enthusiast and has acted as football manager, played basketball, baseball and recently added cross country to his list. “…he is determined and approaches everything with a smile and a great mind set.” Bailey is a history buff and plans on attending Ventura Junior College. Bailey thanked all his team mates, coaches teachers and his family for their enthusiastic support of his sports passion.
