Angel Flight West

Angel Flight West (AFW) is a network of volunteer pilots who provide medical transportation to people in need.  A CFP by profession, Jeff Moorhouse has spent the last 10 years as an AFW volunteer literally lifting people out of life-threatening circumstances and recruiting fellow pilots to do the same.

Jeff has flown 43 missions since 2016, transporting individuals to their far-off care, providing support during natural disasters, and helping canines make it to their new homes with for intensive training as search dogs.

Finding Balance through Fellowship and Service

As the years pass, I’ve learned to place less energy on comparison and more on purpose. What’s truly meant for us often unfolds with a sense of ease—through the right connections, meaningful collaborations, and opportunities aligned with service rather than struggle.

We all carry a full load each day: commitments to our families, our professions, and our communities. Rotary reminds us that while we serve others, we must also care for ourselves and for one another through fellowship, understanding, and grace.

In that spirit, I invite us to continue supporting each other, sharing the journey, and making space for joy alongside service. Finding that balance isn’t always easy, but it’s a worthwhile practice—one that strengthens both our impact and our connections as Rotarians.
