Finding Balance through Fellowship and Service

One of the reasons I joined Rotary International is the organization’s unique ability to empower ordinary people to lead through fellowship, service, and leadership—while embracing diversity and extending compassion beyond our borders.

As Rotarians, we are uniquely positioned to step forward when decency is absent and when suffering is evident. Our shared values call us not only to witness the challenges around us, but to respond with action, empathy, and purpose.

In these uncertain and often tumultuous times—whether in our nation, within our communities, or across the world—let us carry a little higher the flame of what Rotary represents. Let us unite where divisions appear, restore balance where injustice persists, and offer a steady shoulder to those who need support.

That is the spirit of Rotary. And together, it is how we continue to make a meaningful difference.

Angel's Flight West

Jeff Moorhouse, Southern California Wing Leader, spoke at our March 3rd meeting

Jeff Moorhouse provided a fascinating overview of the good work being done in our community by Angel's Flight West, a network of pilots who volunteer their time for humanitarian missions. Jeff gave specific examples of medical services facilitated and emergency relief provided by pilots like himself.

The network includes more than 1,000 active pilots who fly more than 4,000 missions per year ... all at zero cost to their clients!
