Calling in all Raffle Tickets

Bring your money and any unsold Grandparent's Day Raffle Tickets to Friday's meeting, we need to get an accounting of what we need to sell. We will have a sign-up sheet to sell tickets in front of Von's & Ralph's and on Labor Day week-end in front of the Cookie Crock or Albertson's.
This is our opportunity to fund-raise and sell a $2.00 ticket to friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and strangers and raise $7500! It's an easy sell most folks can afford a $2.00 ticket for a chance to win TWO round-trip tickets on SOUTHWEST Airlines.
We have two international projects in the works: in the Philippines a computer lab, in Rwanda a water & sanitation project. Locally there is discussion about a young reading program called Raising a Reader introducing preschool children to mostly picture books and then into elementary reading books. This program will be new to Los Osos preschoolers who have not been exposed to reading; this will be a joint effort with the Los Osos Kiwanis Club. We need money to fund this project and others like this, that's why it is so important for all Club members to sell all of your tickets or participate in selling them at the grocery stores.
The drawing takes place at after the Grandparent's Day Relay and BBQ during the entertainment portion of the day on September 12.
