Guest Speaker Leslie McKinley, Rotarian and Director for "Community Action Partnership" formerly known as EOC. They have been a working non-profit in our community for 45 years.
"Community Action Partnership" is working in our backyard at Sunnyside School with the 'Head Start' program, a comprehensive child and family development services.

Another of their more well known programs is their Homeless Services which feeds and helps shelter people throughout the County.
A couple of programs that I was not aware of is, the 'Martha's Place Children's Assessment Center'. This is a center for children from birth to age five who have had prenatal exposure to alcohol or drugs.
The other program is 'Energy Conservation Services' which offer weatherization services for low-income households, senior home repairs including installation of handrails, grab bars and wheelchair ramps. "Community Action Partnership" receives the materials and has licensed workers to do the work. It sounds like an exciting program for many people in our community.
"Community Action Partnership" not only does work locally but works in other counties setting up programs and has been asked to interview for a position in northern San Diego area.
