President Swift introduced his neighbor and fellow organic grower, Larry Kandarian. Larry brought a few samples of his aromatic herbs and ancient grains and pollen to share with us. Kandarian Organics grows 200 varieties for seed and local products at Sunshine Health Food in Morro Bay, Whole Foods and California fresh.
He explained the Faro varieties of grain are over 10,000 years old - he raises TEFF , an ancient Ethiopian grass, highly nutritious and the new bakery in Baywood Park on 3rd St. Makes bread.
We were all impressed and anxious to try his products!!
