Family Fun Fair on Grandparents Day- Mark Your Calendar!
The Rotary Club of Los Osos presents its annual Family Fun Fair in honor of Grandparents Day on Sunday September 13th from 12-4 pm at the South Bay Community Center & Park in Los Osos. Admission is free for this celebration of the generations with activities and entertainment for all ages.  There are lots of games for kids to win tickets they can exchange for face painting, prizes or even a hot dog meal. Activities also include a Monster Petting Zoo, the Symphony Petting Zoo, an Insect Petting Zoo, Central Coast Aquarium Petting Zoo, Reptile Petting Zoo, Youth Soccer Shoot Out and much more. Meals will be available for purchase. There is a raffle for a prizes including a Central Coast Staycation Package, tickets to John Batiste at the Hollywood Bowl,  Bose QuietComfort Noise Cancelling Earbuds 2nd Gen and many more bonus drawings. Raffle tickets start at $2/ea. Groove Street will be playing Rock-n-Roll for all to enjoy from 2-4 pm.
Prize-Winning Multi-Club July 4th Float
What a terrific July 4th parade in Cayucos! The three Rotary Clubs of the Estero Bay, Los Osos, Morro Bay and Cayucos, came together once again to create a float and spread the message about the good work of Rotary. This year Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Los Osos, our own Ted Haines along with his wife and creative partner, Ilona Muschenetz, outdid themselves in the name of Rotary. 
This pair transforms reclaimed cardboard into amazing works of art. This year's float represents Washington crossing the Delaware using several of the native species of the animal kingdom in the region, including an 8ft standing Grizzly bear! We had a great showing of members of each of the three Clubs riding and walking along with birds in flight. We came away with the "Best Decorated" prize, and we are all very proud! 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Blueplate!
Business owner and founder as well as Rotary Club of Los Osos member, Mason Randall, delivered an engaging presentation of the genesis and growth of restaurant ordering platform, Blueplate! This software was developed to address some of the more frustrating issues with ordering food online. AS part of the ongoing support of local business, the Rotary Club of Los Osos invites local proprietors to share their story with the Club. This local start-up has improved ordering for local establishments making it easy for locals to get just what they want from a number of area restaurants, pizza places and coffee shops. Very impressive!
