Sandra Sansoni introduced Troy & Maverick Ellison, Fluid Resource Management; a family run business started by their father 35 years ago; a business where more than half of the family members work, helping bigger companies and utilities treat and discharge waste water.

Leading the discussion, Troy Ellison explained that their business provides operation and maintenance services to water and waste water treatment facilities; including mechanical project installation, fabrication and machining, engineering support services, specialty coatings and plant control packages all accomplished with the highest safety and public protection standards available.  Their main headquarters is located in GroverBeach with a satellite office in San Leandro to serve their Bay Area clients.

Their mission is to protect California's water resources through strict compliance with discharge permits, developing new and efficient treatment methods, responding rapidly to emergencies and providing trained, certified staff to act as stewards of their client's equipment.  They do all of this with a current staff of 25-30 employees.  Treated waste water discharges into oceans, rivers, streams or to the underground and must be effectively treated to assure the discharge will not harm public health or the environment.  Some treatment methods actually allow the discharge to be used as potable water.  Because of the closeness to hazardous and harmful fluids, they have a dedicated safety officer who oversees their full safety program, including full vaccinations for their employees and comprehensive training of their employees in traffic management, hazardous waste, emergency response and CPR/first aid.

Their firm is on the cutting edge of technology combining wireless data acquisition, state of the art software and the internet.  They are capable of designing, installing and maintaining remote monitoring and operational systems, coordinating alarm services, all of which increases energy efficiency.  Their depth of industry knowledge allows them to be a valuable resource for engineering firms specializing in water/wastewater and collection systems.  Regulatory agencies are now taking a closer look at winery wastewater discharges and FRM has geared up to provide their specialty service to this industry allowing the winery to do what they do best: producing fabulous wine!  One of their clients, Monarch Golf Course, has a waste water treatment plant that is one of the most modern facilities on the West Coast.  FRM provides an important public health and environmental protection service to our surrounding communities.
