Motivational speaker and Realtor Glenn Hoving showed he does indeed have a passion for communication in providing our program, entitled "Attitude, Gratitude and Passion: The Three Keys to Success".

"Energy is just energy," Glenn said, "Until we redirect it. The easiest way to stop negative energy is with love."

In Glenn's life, he acquires wisdom from those closest to him, from his son asking him why does it matter if someone thinks he's the boy's grandfather, to a host of mentoring neighbors who offered fatherly advice when Glenn's father passed away. His attitude of being receptive, to the gratitude of the advice and instruction given to him was a key component of becoming a high school and college football player. His position, inside linebacker, was because of a coach who pushed him in the right direction. He identified that push as love, and said, "Love is huge."

Glenn knows there our people in our lives we have to thank, and said we should write, email or phone that person and tell them how much they are appreciated. It's part of responsibility: Give credit when things are going well, and take the heat when it's not.

About passion, Glenn recalled a business meeting that required blue jeans, used hay wagons, and had a bonfire and bar. A business meeting! The highlight of the session was a cowboy who rode in on a horse a dazzled the gathering with his rope tricks. "What's your passion?" the cowboy would ask, before telling the assembled this his passion has led to a very lucrative career doing what he enjoys.

"Do something better than somebody else, and if you're passionate about it, the money will come," said Glenn Hoving as he closed his presentation to our Club.
