Rotarian Etiquette & Other Good Advice
- A man is to remove his hat as soon as he enters the building.
- Each member should greet the guest speaker; and, if you have to leave the meeting early, mention this to the speaker.
- The American flag pin is to be worn as close to the heart as possible.
- Your name badge is to be worn on the right of your chest as it is then an 'easy read' from the hand shake to your name.
- When you are a Rotarian, you are an image of Rotary. When you wear your lapel pin, people see you as a Rotarian first.
- Be careful with e-mail and all web sites; everyone may read everything; it is only a matter of time.
- No one is to see a woman put on or take off her gloves.
- After the meeting, you should always thank the guest speaker for their presentation.
