announced a project that would be a perfect fit for the Club. 9 Elementary Schools in the LuciaMar School district have a Track meet in May every year run by a small group of PE teachers, PTA, and PTO organizations. Over 550 kids participate. This event could have the Grover Beach Rotary Club brand attached to it for a small amount of money, $500-$750, and one day of work from Club volunteers. The Track meet is scheduled for May 17th, 9AM-2PM. We would not have to run it or set it up; just help at the event and spend some money. This event gets a large turnout of parents and families so it would be good publicity for the club. There was Club consensus to move forward. Good idea, Steve!
