After closing my restaurant I wanted to do something completely different than I had in the past. I had gained so much experience owning a small business and I wanted to use my knowledge to help others not make the same mistakes that I had. I chose to work for The Coast News helping business by teaching them to utilize their marketing and networking opportunities.
I had been volunteering for the Arroyo Grande Chamber of Commerce when I was approached by the Grover Beach Chamber's Board of Directors to fill their CEO vacancy. I truly enjoy helping businesses prosper, making this a perfect marriage. I have also found that helping people gave me the greatest reward. This is also why I have become involved in Rotary.
